The Architect has completed the elevations. We are moving forward with this Zero Energy Lifestyle home project, according to plan. We will be breaking ground about August 2008.

We are currently engaged with several clients converting the possibilities of building their energy efficient homes into contracts with down payments. As we finalize these contracts and the site plans and architectural drawings become available, we will post them to this blog for viewing.

Our Philosophy,

We believe there is a real need for rethinking how we live in the environment and interact with the ecosystem of the planet upon which we live. We need to improve the manner in which we use the natural resources, especially for conditioning our homes and working spaces and for our transportation needs. Many people advocate a philosophy of downsizing, extreme conserving and diminishing our lifestyles. If fossil fuels and man made energies are all the choice available, then that would be logical. But the Star around which our small plant orbits is an unlimited source of energy and the earth has an inexhaustible supply of geothermal energy we can use instead of conventional polluting traditional "fuels". We need to develop and proliferate viable alternatives to mass burning of fuel for energy. We believe that through application of smart solutions there are actually financial benefits to early adopters.

Our Mission:

We are a provider of viable solutions to the energy and environmental crises in the form of an internationally patented process that uses natural "free" geothermal and solar radiant heat energies with fresh air and water systems to continually maintain a comfortable temperature and condition the interiors of homes, commercial and civic structures. We will integrate our system with solar electric panels to build true Zero Energy Households and Workspaces. We will include the technology of plug-in electric vehicles, with additional solar electric panels to facilitate solar recharging of the vehicle battery pack. We call this a "ZERO ENERGY LIFESTYLE". We shall persevere in bringing this technology to market in the U.S. We will simultaneously engage universities and government agencies, such as the United States Green Building Council (of which we are an active member) to teach this technology and include it in U.S. building codes.

Imagine you and your family living in a totally energy independent home and driving at least one vehicle for which you did not have to buy gas, and you leave home every day with a full tank of “fuel”. How much of your money would that “lifestyle” enable you to keep every month?

Suppose your home was able to use the free and unlimited energy of the earth and sun, instead of paying for utilities. How much would that alone save your family in household expenses every month?

If you eliminated the expenses for home utilities and gasoline for a vehicle for a whole year, how much extra money would you and your family have for important beneficial items, such as; new clothes, entertainment, new education, kids toys, theatre, restaurants, a weekend get-away, a dream vacation or a new car?

At Isomax-terrasol we have a technology which utilizes the combined energies of the star around which we orbit and the planet upon which we live. That energy is absolutely unlimited. Isn’t it about time we could use free solar and geothermal energies to maintain our lifestyle, instead of spending money for man made energy and declining supplies of oil? Why use food plants for transportation energy? Isn’t food already expensive enough? Wouldn’t you like to drive for free at least 75% of the time? Some very bright people quote scientific data regarding sun light intensity striking the earth and they say there isn’t enough heat from the sun or in the ground to power our homes. Most bright people laughed at the original horseless carriages. Some very bright people used to say that if man was intended to fly, God would have given him wings. Then John Glenn made the first steps on the moon.

What happened? “Conventional Wisdom” was replaced by a proven system that demonstrated a new technology. Sometimes that technology developed slowly, but it was obvious to some far sighted people even at the beginning when it was first shown to work reliably.

Our founder; Dipl. Ing. Phys. Edmond Krecké has been slowly developing this technology over the past thirty-five years. He is a three time nominee for the Nobel Prize in Energy and the Environment for his work on developing and advancing this technology in the world. His Licensed Partners in 78 countries around the world, of which we are members, have built, including our projects, over 120,000 homes, business and working spaces. These are structures that are reliably demonstrating the use of less than half as much energy as a conventionally constructed building. This represents a tremendous reduction in human caused environmental impact. In recent years Dr. Krecké has successfully demonstrated a series of true zero energy homes. Please let me clarify. We are not talking about a building that uses an existing technology, such as Photo Voltaic Panels in a “well insulated” building to “achieve” a net balance of energy gain versus energy expended with an electric powered HVAC system. No. We are talking about a new type of solar and geothermal “system” integrated into the construction that enables the house to achieve a balance between free solar/geothermal energy input and reduced energy loss (in winter) or excess energy gain (in summer). There is no HVAC system. This technology includes our fresh air ventilation and thermal exchange duct system that replaces all the air in the entire building ten times a day, operating continuously, at a very low level, as opposed to an HVAC forced air system that recycles exhaled CO₂ and bacteria contaminated air. Thus our Isomax-Terrasol homes are actually healthier for your family than conventional homes/buildings.

Perhaps you are asking, “How much does this cost?” The answer is that it is competitively priced in new construction to traditional technology, because our system eliminates the forced air HVAC cost.

In retrofitting to existing homes, business and civic buildings, what is the payback time? This answer is more complex. For home and business owners, we say, “Don’t spend your money for the upgrade”.

Use your equity to improve your “Balance of Payments”, and start spending less money right away.

Get an “Equity Line of Credit” at your bank; you only need give your signature. Then use the banks money to make the upgrade, at zero “out-of-pocket” cost to you. Next month, after the system is installed, you will get a statement from the bank and incur a payment of perhaps $150.00 a month, but you will not get a utility bill for $250.00 and thus you will save $100.00 every month thereafter. When the loan is paid off in perhaps ten years, your savings will then be $250.00 every month for as long as you and your family live in the home. If you move, the added system is an Asset, and your home will repay your expenditure. Your actual experience may vary from this story, for example one home had an average monthly utility bill over $250.00, then we added a three bedroom addition using the Isomax technology, and now that house uses an average of $212.00/month utilities. It went from about 2000 sq. ft. to about 2500 sq. ft. but, now only uses as much energy as if it were 1800 sq. ft. We have a documented report from the power company for 2 years demonstrating this performance. Please note; the solar and geothermal system was not installed in this example. Only the Isomax walls building technology alone made the increased energy conservation possible at this residence.

We are now actively engaged in the production of Isomax components for our first Display home and sales office in a new subdivision of up-scale homes on one acre minimum horse properties. This begs the question, “Are these technologies only applicable to up-scale homes?” Our answer is that this technology is easily applied to smaller homes with relatively small power consumption requirements even when built with conventional construction processes and materials. The adaptation of this technology to larger homes over 5,000 sq. ft. would appear to be more challenging. Larger homes have substantially larger monthly utility bills, often on the order of $500 to $1,000.00 a month or more. If we build true zero energy use homes in the range of 5,000 or more sq. ft. then we have achieved a significant milestone. Our display home will be a total of 5,200 sq. ft.
